A fascinating trail in the heart of Brinzio, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pre-Alps, where the peaceful silence of the woods accompanies the walk through hidden corners and stunning mountain scenery.

Along the way, you’ll discover the Fonte del Cerro, a refreshing natural spring tucked away in the forest, and the impressive Val d’Intrino Erratic Boulder, a group of huge rocks recognised as a Natural Monument, offering a glimpse into the geological history of the area.

An intense route starting from Brinzio, a picturesque village with a characteristic historic centre, featuring narrow streets paved with red stone and old courtyards, leading to a scenic viewpoint overlooking the Sacro Monte di Varese Reserve.

The itinerary winds through the natural landscape, gradually leaving the village behind and encountering the crucifix erected on the occasion of the Passionist Fathers’ preaching, a testimony to the history and traditions of the area.

Il percorso prende avvio dall’ampio Piazzale Pogliaghi, suggestivo punto panoramico sulla Valle della Rasa, sul Monte Martica e sulle Prealpi Lombarde.

L’itinerario conduce verso le Pizzelle, seguendo un percorso in salita fino a raggiungere il valico delle Pizzelle, a 926 metri di altitudine, all’interno del perimetro della Riserva Naturale del Campo dei Fiori.
