Spectacular views and the beauty of the territory that embraces the Alps and the lakes between Italy and Switzerland: an itinerary not to be missed.
Starting from the road that leads from Luino to Dumenza, you can easily reach the Campiglio Refuge, on the Alpe Pradecolo (1184m), from where the T8 trail leaves, leading into a wood leading to Piano Runo (1337m). Along the way the panorama offers views of Lake Maggiore, castles of Cannero and Monte Rosa.
The trail continues uphill until you reach the top of Monte Lema (1624 m) on the Swiss side. The view from the top of the mountain is unique: all around you can look from Lake Maggiore to Lake Lugano, surrounded by the peaks of the Pennine and Lepontine Alps!
It is possible to return to Pradecolo with a ring, reaching the gondola lift and continuing to Alpe Forcola d'Arasio, through a beech forest in the direction of Alpone (1238m). We then proceed towards the church of the Madonna della Guardia (1248m), another exceptional vantage point.
