Canottieri Varese was founded on 9^th March 1927 and is one of the best known and most important rowing centres on the national and international scene.

Its headquarters are located in the Schiranna locality of Varese and the sport of rowing is promoted through both introductory youth courses and competitive and amateur activities.

Thanks also to the excellent conditions that Lake Varese offers, it has always been the scene of important rowing events on the world scene such as European and World Championships and one of the main stages of the World Cup, but also of national events such as the "Gian Antonio Romanini'" Youth Festival and Italian Championships.
