The Cuvignone Pass, one of the main passes in the Lombardy Pre-Alps, is set between the Valcuvia and Luinese valleys and is best known to sports enthusiasts, especially road cyclists.
In fact, the pass is also the setting for the famous Giro d'Italia and numerous local cycling races.
Its demanding climb was already used for training in the days of Alfredo Binda and featured a particularly technical descent. Another peculiarity is that the Rally dei Laghi also runs on this road.
The Cuvignone is very popular in the summer months for its landscape with large areas of shade and it is also possible to go on several hikes that end with an extraordinary panorama.
