Saturday, April 2 at 11.00 am, "From the Annunciation to the Resurrection", the solo exhibition of Giovanni Beluffi, opens to the public.

The artist of Castelseprio, known mainly for the naturalistic theme that distinguishes him, for this special occasion, presents about twenty sacred paintings, representative of some episodes of the life of Jesus. The preparatory studies of these paintings and the sketches made for a Way of the Cross in 2003 will also be exhibited.

These paintings, due to a particular inspiration lived in the pandemic period of 2020, now find, given the approach of the Easter period, the ideal setting in the evocative rooms of the Museo Civico di Palazzo Branda Castiglioni in Castiglione Olona, P.zza Garibaldi 1.

It is not the first time that the sepriese artist devotes his attention to the sacred, in fact his works are present in various churches and, during a religious service, he personally donated one of his paintings to Cardinal Carlo Maria Martini, then Archbishop of the Diocese of Milan.

The plaster cast created for the casting of a bronze sculpture depicting a Crucifixion will also be on display. This sculpture, made by the artist in 1992, was placed, also in that year, on the family tomb at the cemetery of Castelseprio.
