The Municipality of Castiglione Olona, on the occasion of International Women's Day, proposes three events organised and promoted by the Department of Social Policies and Education to reflect on the theme of women's rights, equal opportunities and equality.

During the three days the Monteruzzo Castle will be lit up in yellow to invite people to turn a special thought to all those women who see their rights threatened daily.

FRIDAY 8^th MARCH

At 6.30 p.m. at the Castle of Monteruzzo, a meeting will be held to discuss, learn about, and investigate the actions of those figures who have worked to emphasize the role of women in modern society, also through direct testimonies such as the moving stories of Grandma Angela.

This will be followed by an apericena organized in collaboration with La Dislocanda, the proceeds of which will go to the 'Casa Pierangela' home shelter in Monteruzzo.

The evening will end with a DJ Set by CastellEventi starting at 8:30 p.m.

SUNDAY 9^th MARCH

The Pro Loco Castiglione Olona and Masciocchi Fiori at 11 a.m. invite you to the planting ceremony of an acacia dealbata in the Monteruzzo Castle Park.

SUNDAY 10^th MARCH

At 10 a.m. at the 'Mazzini' Primary School Gym, there will be a free self-defense workshop aimed at all women and held by International Fight Academy teachers.
