Tante care cose: the junk and antiques market at Casa Macchi in Morazzone (VA) returns this spring, organised by the FAI - Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano.
The event will be held on 25 and 26 May 2024 from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. and will offer visitors a wide selection of furniture, prints, porcelain, ceramics, glassware, magazines, postcards, antique games and other memorabilia. This second edition will see an expansion of the exhibition area, including the garden and part of the lawn to allow for more exploration.
The FAI will exhibit and sell a selection of objects from its repository, offering them a second life. Philosopher Remo Bodei emphasised the evocative power of objects, which tell stories and atmospheres and preserve fragments of memory. At Casa Macchi, common objects bear witness to the history of a family and a past era, representing a heritage of cultural memory.
The initiative is part of the practices promoted by FAI to promote sustainability and the recovery of the memory of the past through the reuse of everyday objects.
