The twelfth edition of the Digital Journalism Festival returns to Varese and the entire province with over 100 events!

This year, alongside the well-known Journalism Festival, there will also be the Territory Festival - Glocal + and the Documentary Festival - Glocal Doc. The theme uniting the three festivals is that of 'visions', vision understood as an open opportunity to build a new future. 

The rich programme will start on Thursday 2^nd November 2023 and end on Sunday 12^th November 2023.

Glocal +, which will take place from 2^nd to 9^th November, has been realised thanks to the contribution of institutions, social and cultural associations in order to recount the past, present and future of journalism, but also to tell the peculiarities of the Varese area through cultural meetings open to all. 

Glocal Doc, which will take place from 4^th to 9^th November 2023, is the documentary film festival. There will be two sections: one with feature films over 55 minutes and the other dedicated to documentaries or short journalistic reports, which will be part of the Agostini Award. The evening screenings will be special events with guests from the documentary world. For this festival the Cortisonici and Filmstudio90 associations, the MIV-Multisala Impero Varese, the BA Film Festival, the Michelangelo Antonioni Film Institute, the Archives of Industrial Cinema and Business Communication of the LIUC University of Castellanza, and the Air3 filmmakers' association collaborate with Varesenews. 

The Glocal journalism festival, the one with the 'classic' formula, is scheduled from 9^th to 12^th November in Varese. Born from the joint efforts of VareseNews and the Order of Journalists of Lombardy, following the theme of 'visions', in this edition it wants to try to imagine what directions the journalistic profession will take, now that we are at the dawn of yet another technological revolution, the one triggered by artificial intelligence. A theme that will be the focus of the conference also organised in Varese by the National Order of Journalists.

A new feature is an itinerary through contemporary art dedicated to journalists dealing with cultural issues, which will combine three training sessions with visits to as many museums in the area: the Marcello Morandini Foundation, Villa and Collezione Panza and the Ma*Ga Museum.
