Passo del Cuvignone

The Cuvignone Pass, one of the main passes in the Lombardy Pre-Alps, is set between the Valcuvia and Luinese valleys and is best known to sports enthusiasts, especially road cyclists.
In fact, the pass is also the setting for the famous Giro d'Italia and numerous local cycling races.

Its demanding climb was already used for training in the days of Alfredo Binda and featured a particularly technical descent. Another peculiarity is that the Rally dei Laghi also runs on this road.

Chiesetta di San Quirico - Angera

The church of San Quirico is located in Angera on top of the hill that gives it its name. It has ancient origins and appears for the first time in a document dating back to the 13th century.

The church has experienced several construction phases, the earliest being the construction of the apse and the structure was completed in later centuries.

The interior of the place of worship is shrouded in semi-darkness and urges meditation, inviting to silence.

Chiesa di Santa Veronica - Caldè

The Church of St. Veronica is located in Caldé and preserves a 15th-century fresco cycle that represents the only available terminus ante quem.

It has not been possible to establish a date range for the construction of the church with certainty, but thanks to the analysis of the masonry and the development of the apse, an early construction phase between the 14th and 15th centuries can be established.
