The Sangregorio Giancarlo Foundation is located in the residence where the artist lived and worked since the late 1950s. The structure is surrounded by a park of approximately four hectares, overlooking the spectacular scenery of Lake Maggiore and the chain of the Piedmont Alps. In addition to the House Museum and Sangregorio's studio, the park also features an exhibition atelier, a building inspired by the designs of Finnish architect Alvar Aalto.

The artist gathered his own works here, more than 200, a corpus of about a thousand graphic works, and several hundred canvases, drawings, and works by artist friends, including prominent names like Fontana, Rotella, Bay, Scanavino, and Raciti. The sculptor was also a collector of primitive arts, and the entire collection is now managed by the Foundation itself; it includes over a hundred pieces of African primitive art and significant sculptures from Oceania, Papua New Guinea, works of Eastern origin, and some pieces of Central American art.
