The scents, flavors and colors of Oltralpe return to invade the center of the city: from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 May, Gallarate hosts the Regional French Market, set up between the square and Corso Italia.

A small corner of France in the heart of the city, where you can discover and taste authentic food and wine specialities and traditional products from the various regions of France.

"The French Regional Market is much more than an event: it is an opportunity to experience Gallarate in a different way, more lively, more open, more European" says the city councillor and deputy mayor Rocco Longobardi.

"Initiatives like this enhance our city, involve the traders, animate the streets and give citizens an original experience made of flavors, fragrances and colors. We are proud to offer, once again, an event capable of combining quality, tradition and atmosphere".

Excellent food and wine

Over 80 types of cheeses to be paired with more than 30 wine labels from the main French wine areas, aromatic salamis, rare spices, hot crepes and a rich selection of desserts: Breton biscuits with over twenty varieties of filling, handmade chocolates, and of course the refined macarons, sweet loved by kings and emperors.
Baguettes and freshly baked croissants are also not to be missed in the Boulangerie space, with a stand of over 12 meters entirely dedicated to bakery pastries.

Craftsmanship and tradition

From Provence and the French Riviera come tablecloths, lavender, soaps, essences and straw bags. From Paris, perfumes, cosmetics and fashion accessories that reflect the typical French elegance.

The French Regional Market is proposed by a group of French commercial operators with a long international experience, which in these years has brought the event to more than 25 cities in Central-Northern Italy.  The initiative is part of a wider project to develop historic centres and promote local commerce
