Calendimaggio del Cai di Somma Lombardo, the day of excursions to celebrate the "triumph of spring": the appointment is for Sunday 4 May, with meeting at 8.30 am for registration and then two different routes to discover the territory of the Malpensa heath, interesting natural environment, on which are stratified also many traces of human activity.

«This year’s excursion, we are at the twentieth edition, starting as always from the sectional headquarters of via Briante, in Somma Lombardo, will follow the trails and agro-forestry roads that criss-cross the southern area of the municipal territory and touch Monte Visconti, the area of the Todt Slopes, the Geodesic Pyramid and the Ipposidra path, then return to the venue and have lunch together».

The excursion includes two routes:
- Route "A" - development 6.6 km - elevation gain +80/-90 m - walking time 2:30 h + stops;
- Route "B" - development 9,1 km - elevation gain +80/-60 m - duration 3:00 h + stops.

«Both trails are within the reach of all participants: along the Route "A", particularly suitable for families with children, little hikers can try themselves in a very fun ... treasure hunt».

The event is sponsored by the municipal administration of Somma Lombardo and Parco del Ticino; the Carabinieri Association in Congedo di Somma Lombardo will assist participants during the crossing of main roads.
