Walks in the fresh air and glorious countryside

The beautiful valleys set between Alpine foothills in the northern part of the Province of Varese make the area around Lake Maggiore the perfect place for walks along relatively easy footpaths with breathtaking views.

Walking is a wonderful way to see another side of the northern part of the province. In addition to offering marvellous vistas, the footpaths lead through luxuriant woodland and fascinating places imbued with history and culture where you can explore historic buildings or enjoy a well-earned break in a traditional eatery.
